Science has found that gratitude can significantly increase your happiness, and protect you from stress, negativity, anxiety, and depression.

2. Stop Complaining:

One of the reasons people adopt a negative attitude is because they always see themselves as a victim of their circumstances.

While some aspects of life are out of your control but a large portion can be changed by your actions and decisions.

So stop blaming life and start taking responsibility for your actions.

A study done at the Warsaw School of Social Psychology shows that complaining leads to lower moods and negative emotions, decreased life satisfaction and optimism, and emotional and motivational deficits.

At any moment your attitude can be that of a victim or a creator.

The first step you need to take to shift from victim mode to creator mode is to take responsibility.

Here’s the attitude of a creator:

  • I create my life.

  • I’m in charge of my destiny.

To build a positive attitude and stop looking for someone to blame instead take control of your life and work to improve it.
