Love for the food we all have.
The problem appears when it comes to healthy and unhealthy food habits.
We can’t skip our main meals too.
But when it’s come for lunch we always think that this is the main meal of the day.
Thinking this we have a delicious heavier meal.
Now coming to the point, this article will cover after lunch problem which occurs right after our lunch.

The main reason for getting sleep after lunch is because the food that you eat for lunch.
Because after food our pancreas produces insulin to regulate blood sugar levels.
If we have a heavy meal than insulin production will be higher.
As a result, your blood sugar level gets high too.
Your body also releases a bit of serotonin and melatonin(sleeping hormones) while increasing insulin.
It promotes sleepiness further.
Some Eating Habits Need To Change in Order To Avoid Feeling Drowsy After Lunch :
Control the processed sugars and fat you consume at lunch.
It digests quickly producing high insulin in the blood.
It will leave you feeling exhausted.
Plan Your Diet :
Choose foods wisely for lunch full of fibre, lean proteins, green veggies (iron) and complexed carbohydrate.
Make your own healthy well-balanced diet.
Eat Small Portions :

If you limit your food size you will reduce your overeating.

Lack of drinking water is the reason for fatigue, low mood and lack of concentration.

Take A Little Walk :
Do not sit back to your work right after your lunch.
Take a walk for a few minutes.
Do some basic stretches.
Use stairs after lunch especially.
It will help to increase oxygen levels in your blood which will hike energy levels.
Chew Gum :

Yes, the study only prooved that chewing gum reduces your fatigue and keep you alert.
Do not overdo it and avoid sugar-based chewing gum.
Take a Small Nap :
Take a short nap if possible.
It will give you energy.
If you are at work, a nap is not always possible.
If you do slip away for a short nap, set an alarm on your cell phone so you don’t sleep post-lunch break.
Get Proper Sleep :
Give your body the proper amount of rest.
Sleep minimum of 8 hours at night to heal your body.
Maintain a schedule of waking up daily at a particular time.
waking up early and taking little sleep will give you more tiredness afternoon, especially after lunch.
Keep track of the food and your level of energy after lunch.
You will get to know normally which food you have to take for lunch after 10 days only.
Eliminate all foods which lead to more energy but leave low energy.
